Obituary of Catherine M. Besaw

Catherine M. Besaw, 84, of Malone, NY, passed away Thursday morning, May 27, 2021, at The Alice Center, in Malone, NY. Born in Hague, NY, May 31, 1936, she was the daughter of the late John and Evelyn Carpenter McCoy. She was united in marriage to Clarence Besaw in Castleton on the Hudson. He predeceased her. Many years ago, Catherine was a dietary aid at the Resurrection Nursing Home in Castleton, NY. She retired many years ago. Catherine enjoyed sewing, reading, flower gardening, camping, four wheeling and spending time with her family and friends. Survivors include, one son and daughter-in-law, Jason and Donna Pearsall of Ben Salem, PA; two daughters and a son-in-law, Kelly and Charley Malkonian of Winfield, KS, and Michelle Pearsall of Malone, NY; one brother, John “Jack” McCoy of Rensselaer, NY; one sister, Marjorie Musser of Largo, FL; seven grandchildren, five great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Along with her parents and husband, she was predeceased by one son, Joseph Pearsall and one sister, Margaret Peter. There are no calling hours. Funeral Services will be private and at the convenience of the family. Donations may be made in her memory to St. Jude’s Children’s Research Hospital.
