Obituary of Margaret B. Premo

Margaret B. Premo, 91, of Malone, NY, passed away early Tuesday morning, June 22, 2021, at The Alice Center, in Malone, with her loving family by her side. She had been a resident there since May 30, 2018.
Born in Malone, NY, February 12, 1930, she was the daughter of the late Floyd and Florence Bessette Benware. She graduated from Franklin Academy, in Malone.
Many years ago, Margaret was employed by Bell Telephone Company, and Yando’s IGA. She later was employed by Marine Midland Bank for several years as a teller. For more than twenty five years, she was an employee and volunteer at the Alice Hyde Medical Center. She retired in 2017.
Margaret was a devote catholic and a communicant of Notre Dame Church. She was a member of the Alice Hyde Hospital Auxiliary. She enjoyed flower gardening and attending her children’s and grandchildren’s sporting events. She had great pleasure in sending cards to friends and family for special occasions and sending donations to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital and to the Dominican Sisters.
Survivors include three sons and daughters-in-law, Stephen and Debra Premo of Greenville, NC., David and Cindy Premo of Brunswick, ME, and Brian and Kim Premo of Malone, NY; one daughter and son-in-law, Deborah and Daniel Easton of St. Pete Beach, FL; nine grandchildren, and thirteen great grandchildren.
Along with her parents, she was predeceased by one sister, Alice Handley.
There are no calling hours. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, June 25, 2021, at 2 p.m. at Notre Dame Church, in Malone, NY. Burial will follow in Notre Dame Cemetery, in Malone.
Donations may be made in her memory to the Alice Hyde Hospital Auxiliary.
