Odelia “Dolly” Leroux, 81, of Fort Covington, NY, passed away Sunday evening, June 27, 2021, at her home, while under the loving care of her family and Hospice of the North Country, Inc. Born in Worcester, NY, on December 5, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Martin and Catherine Gadway Muehl. After graduating high school, she attended nursing school. Dolly was a L.P.N. at the Alice Hyde Hospital, in Malone, NY, from 1968 until 1985. She also assisted her husband in the everyday operation of Leroux Oil Company. She was a communicant of St. Mary’s Church, in Fort Covington, NY and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She was an avid gardener, enjoyed embroidery, reading, puzzles, Sudoku, and board games. On November 9, 1963, she was united in marriage to Phillip L. Leroux at St. Augustine’s Church, in North Bangor, NY. He predeceased her on February 23, 2013. Survivors include one son and two daughters-in-law, Matthew and Jamie Leroux of Dickinson, NY, and Teresa Leroux of Fort Covington, NY; three daughters and two sons-in-law, Phills and Kent Walrath of Fort Covington, NY, Patricia and Edward Krajewski of Cohoes, NY, and Paula Fleming of Thornton, CO; five brothers and four sisters-in-law, James and Delcie Muehl of Mattydale, NY, David and Mona Muehl of North Bangor, NY, George and Sherry Muehl of St. Albans, VT, Thomas and Sue Muehl of Oneida, NY, and Gerald Muehl of Tampa, FL; five sisters, Cecilia LaPlante of Plant City, FL, Nora Brockway of North Bangor, NY, Carol Vancour of Malone, NY, Agnes Thater of Syracuse, NY, and Martina Zimmer of Lancaster, WI; thirteen grandchildren, Stephen, Austin, Becca, Connor, Elizabeth, Krista, Ross, Leah, Madeline, Jailey, Brady, Reese and Zoey; two great grandchildren, Brodi and Rosali, and many nieces, nephews and cousins. Along with her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by one son, Martin Leroux on May 22, 2011. Calling hours will be Thursday July 1, 2021, from 2-4 and 7-9 PM, at St. Mary’s Church, in Fort Covington, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday July 2, 2021, at 11 a.m. at St. Mary’s Church, with the Rev. Thomas Kornmeyer officiating. Burial will be in the new St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fort Covington, NY. Donations may be made in her memory to St. Mary’s Church in Fort Covington, NY, or to the Alice Ballard Fund of Hospice of the North Country, Inc. in Malone, NY.
