Obituary of Francis H. Fleury

Francis H. “Frank” Fleury, 91, of Westville, NY, passed away Saturday, August 14, 2021, at the U.V.M. Health Care Alice Hyde Medical Center, in Malone, NY, with his loving wife by his side. Born in Westville, NY, August 26, 1929, he was the son of the late Edgar and Florence Fobare Fleury. He attended local schools. He served in the United States Army during the Korean War, and was Honorably Discharged as a corporal. For forty two years, Frank was employed by Alcoa in Massena. On September 3, 1955, he was united in marriage to the former Helen L. LaPrad, at St. Francis of Assisi Church, in Constable, NY, by the late Rev. Msgr. F. Gordon Coseo. She survives. Frank was a life member of the D.A.V., Charter member of the Border Eagles Motorcycle Club, Life Member of the American Motorcycle Club, and a fifty year member of the Retreads Motorcycle Club. He has been an avid motorcyclist for more than fifty years. He has attended the motorcycle rallies in Laconia, NH. for twenty five years and The Americaide in Lake George, NY, for ten years. He was a long time member of the Winnebago Travel Club and he and Helen traveled cross country twice, they also wintered in Zephyrhills, FL, for twenty six years. He was a communicant of Our Lady of Fatima Church, in Westville for many years and a long time member of the Westville Volunteer Fire and Rescue Department. He was a member of the Alcoa Retirees Club and a former member of the Malone Amvets. Along with his wife, Helen, he is survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins. Besides his parents he was predeceased by two brothers, Lyle and Malcom Fleury. There are no calling hours. A Graveside Service and Burial with full Military Rites performed by the Malone American Legion, will be held on Friday, August 20, 2021, at Noon, in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery, in Constable, NY, with the Rev.
