Obituary of Gladys L. Gero

Gladys L. Gero, 66, of Brushton, N.Y., passed away on January 5, 2022 at U.V.M. Health Network; UVM Medical Center in Burlington, VT. Born on February 7, 1955, she was the daughter of the late Leonard and Joan Reome Nason. Gladys graduated from Franklin Academy in Malone, N.Y. and attended North Country Community College. She worked many years at the Malone Price Chopper. In 1986, she married Thomas Gero. The marriage later ended in divorce, but they would reconcile and become close friends and companions. She is survived by one daughter and her fiancé; Kayla Gero and James Pierce, her companion Thomas Gero, her grandchildren Airabella and Kristopher Hosler, , two nieces; Lynn Ryan and Ariel Shatlaw, and a nephew Shawn Deshane. She was predeceased by her brother Randy Nason and a sister Diane Boutin. A calling hour will take place from 11-12 on Thursday, January 13, 2022, at Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone, N.Y. A funeral service will follow at noon in the funeral home chapel. In lieu of flowers, the family would accept donations to help with the burial expenses.
