Obituary of Pearl D. Smith

PEARL CAROLINE DOHERTY SMITH Pearl Doherty Smith was born on November 1, 1921 in Malone, NY to Edward P. and Minnie Bosley Doherty. Pearl joined the love of her life Maynard (Mike) Smith on March 28,2022 at the age of 100. Mike predeceased her after 65 years of marriage on June 15, 2013. She graduated from Newton Falls High School on June 26, 1939. Pearl worked for the Scintilla plant in Sidney, New York during WW2, making air plane parts, New York telephone Company as an operator and retired from Tru-Stitch Footwear in 1983 after 21 years. Surviving is one Daughter and Son-in-Law, Helen and Scott Barney. Grandchildren are Lori Campbell of Merrill, NY, Michael & Leah Campbell of Walton, NY and Peter Campbell of Malone. Great Grandchildren are Alexis Perry, Garret Perry, Amaya Campbell , Cohen Campbell and Emma Hall. Leaving behind several nieces and nephews. Pearl was a loving Daughter, Sister, Mother, Grandmother and Aunt. Besides her parents and husband she was predeceased by Brothers Robert, John and Richard, and one sister Joyce. According to Pearl's wishes, there will be no services and the burial is at the convenience of the family. Donations in Pearl's memory may be made to Hospice of the North Country.
