Obituary of Madeline P. Vryhof

Madeline P. Vryhof, 78, of Constable, N.Y., passed away at Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh, N.Y. on Sunday, April 3, 2022. Born on August 13, 1943 in Montclair, New Jersey, she was the daughter of the late Joseph and Florence DeFalco. Madeline was wed to the late George J. Vryhof in Montclair, New Jersey. She was employed with Cornell Cooperative Extension in Malone, N.Y., and had managed the Malone Farmers Market. She was a strong supporter of the SPCA, was a member of TOPS and helped at the Food Pantry. She loved gardening, spending time with her dog Onna, and enjoyed cooking and painting. She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law; George and Sandi Vryhof of Hobe Sound, Florida, Her two daughters and a daughter-in-law; Patricia DiCataldo of Maryland and Marie and Tabitha Vryhof of Constable, her sister; Marie Docxx of New Jersey, as well as ten grand and twelve Great Grandchildren. Along with her husband and parents, Madeline was predeceased by her brothers Joseph DeFalco and Jack Jenkins. Donations may be made in Madeline’s name to the SPCA.
