Obituary of Cecile A. Disotelle

Cecile A. Disotelle, 91, of Malone, N.Y., formerly of Brushton, N.Y., passed away on May 27, 2022, at her home at The Alice Center Assisted Living Facility. She was born on May 22, 1931 in Malone to Edgar and Marie Lalonde St. Denis. She graduated from St. Joseph’s Academy in Malone and attended North Country Community College. On June 6, 1949, she was wed in Malone to Lawrence Disotelle. The marriage would later end in divorce. At one time she worked for Tru-Stitch in Malone and later for the Malone Adult Center. She enjoyed crafting and painting and was a member of Our Lady’s Rosary Makers and the Secular Carmelite Order of Malone. Cecile is survived by her son; Curt (Melinda) Disotelle of Owl Head, N.Y., a daughter Linda Bolster of Brushton, a sister; Angela Krawitz of Rhode Island, her grandchildren; Shane Bolster, Creigh Lynn (Brent) Landis, Sloan (Tuesday) Bolster, and Beth Anne (Jason) Steenberg, Curt Disotelle and John Disotelle. She was predeceased by her Son-in-law Wayne Bolster, a brother Ernest St. Denis and her sisters Theresa Macey and Rita Brown. Visitation will be held from 1-2:30 p.m. on Friday, June 3, 2022 at Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at St. Mary’s Church in Brushton on Saturday, June 4 at 11 a.m. Burial will follow at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Brushton. Donations may be made to St. Mary’s Church, Brushton, N.Y.
