Please share a memory of Louise to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Louise Murtagh, BSc, MBC Born in Ste Anne de La Pocatiere, QC, the only child of Louis LeBlanc (deceased) and Madeleine Belanger, widow of Patrick Murtagh of Malone. Louise took her final bow on August 2nd, 2022, surrounded by her family, she was only 54 years old. She leaves behind her mother, Madeleine, three brothers; Saroun, Rany and Nin, uncles, aunts, cousins throughout North America from the Belanger and the LeBlanc families, and her special friend Marc Chick. She is also remembered by the Murtagh family. Louise relocated to Malone nearly 20 years ago after meeting Patrick and fell in love with Lake Titus which she referred to as her “happy place.” Louise was a hard working professional woman, with multiple degrees to her name. In 1994, she proudly held a position on the board of Directors of Mensa Canada and had successful careers with Wyeth Canada, Wyeth Pharmaceuticals and Bombardier, and more recently, launching her professional translation business. With her wit, humor and her big heart, she has touched the lives of so many people. She will be greatly missed by her cousins, there are too many to mention, even more, she leaves an extraordinary circle of friends in Malone and Lake Titus area. Weezy, as she was affectionately known to friends, believed in people more than they believed in themselves. Honor her life and her spirit by becoming the best person you can be. Louise’s family would like to express their gratitude to the Hospice of the North Country, the Malone Police Department, the New York State Troopers and the many family members and friends who rallied around them to provide care during her last days on earth. In lieu of flowers, please donate to Lake Titus Protective and L’Amie (International Medical Aid for Children). A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Notre Dame Church in Malone, N.Y. on Friday, August 5th 2022 at noon. Calling hours will be held at the church prior to the Mass, from 10:30 until noon.
