Rosemary Florio, 88, of Malone, N.Y., passed away on September 27, 2022 at the Alice Center in Malone. She was born on December 3, 1933 in Constable, N.Y., to the late Michael and Gertrude LaFleur Demarse. She would then be adopted by the late John and Rose Florio. Rosemary was a 1952 Graduate of Franklin Academy in Malone, and worked at Ames Department Store in Massena for 23 years, retiring in 1995. She is survived by her sisters Mary Degon of Malone and Mildred (Bernard) Griffin of Plattsburgh, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was a member of the Notre Dame Church and it’s Altar and Rosary Society, the Malone Senior Citizens Club, the Women of the Moose, and served on the New York State Senior Action Council. She enjoyed reading and gardening. A calling hour will take place on Friday, September 30, 2022 from 10-11a.m. at Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone, with a funeral service to follow at 11. Burial will take place at St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Constable, N.Y.
