Obituary of Kathleen C. Marceau

Kathleen C. Marceau, age 68, of Malone, N.Y., passed away on October 13, 2022, at her home while under the care of her loving family and Hospice of the North Country. Born in Philadelphia, PA. on March 19, 1954, she was the daughter of the late Charles Joseph and Patricia Schwab McCool. She graduated from high school at Bishop McDevitt and attended college. On September 16, 1978, she would marry Stephen P. Marceau at St. Mary’s Church in Lake Titus with the Rev. Norman Poupore presiding. Stephen survives. Kathleen worked for twenty four years as a clerk at the Wead Library in Malone. Survivors, along with her husband, are a son; Alexander "Sasha" Marceau of Kittery, ME., two daughters; Laura (Mark) Plourde of Woodbridge, VA. and Margaret “Maggie” Marceau of Malone, two brothers; Dennis McCool of Collegeville, PA., and Timothy (Rachel) McCool of Glenside, PA., her sisters; Diane (George) Foos of Jamison, PA. and Margaret “Peggy” McCool of Phiadelphia, PA., a granddaughter; Mercy Plourde, as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was predeceased by a sister; Suzanne McCool and a sister-in-law Allison McCool. She enjoyed gardening, cooking, sewing and homeschooling her children. Donations in Kathleen’s name may be made to Hospice of the North Country. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Notre Dame Church in Malone on Thursday, October 20th at noon, with burial to follow at Notre Dame Cemetery.
