Jay A. Humiston, 60, of Constable, NY. passed away October 27, 2022 at Central Vermont Medical Center in Berlin, Vt. Born in Malone, NY., October 9, 1962, he was the son of the late Wilfred “Bill” and Sally Avery Humiston. Jay was a self-employed contractor. He enjoyed fishing, four wheeling and spending time with his friends and family. He is survived by his mother, Sally Jenkins of Constable, NY.,a daughter Hailey Ann Humiston of Massena, N.Y. three brothers and a sister-in-law; Lester Jenkins of Dickinson, NY., Donald Jr. of Massena, NY., and Matthew Humiston of Connecticut, four sisters and a brother-in-law, Laurie Hafford and her companion Danny Jarvis of Ellenburg Depot, NY., Keli Goodrich and her companion Tom of Moodus, CT., Margaret Jenkins of Massena, NY., and Madeline and Timothy Torrey of Moira, NY., a close niece and nephew; Amanda Hafford (Juan) Santos of Ct. and Timothy Humiston, Jr. of Woodbury Ct. as well as several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by his father, Wilfred “Bill” Humiston, a brother Tim Humiston and his step father, Donald Jenkins. Donations may made in his memory to the Westville or Constable Volunteer Fire Department or E.M.S. A Celebration of Life will be held from 1-5p.m. on Saturday, November 26, 2022 at the Constable Fire Hall. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.brusofuneralservice.com.
