Andrew J. Derouchie, 63, of Fort Covington, N.Y., Passed away on November 24th, 2022, at UVM in Burlington, VT. Born on August 11th, 1959, he was the son of the late Margaret Smythe and Bernard J. Derouchie. He joined the Army in 1977 until 1983. Upon his honorable discharge from the military, he set up a life with everything he loved in it. He loved his time in nature and could often be seen walking about the town of Fort Covington or riding his lawn mower. Andrew was retired from working for the town of Fort Covington. He took great pride in maintaining the town and accepted a job after volunteering where he continued to work for many years. Prior to his years with the town, Andy worked at Leo Cartier’s Lumber Yard and Sawmill. Survivors include a daughter Kristina Derouchie, a brother Thomas (& Barbara) Derouchie, and two sisters: Cathy Fariss and Sr. Anna Derouchie. Along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends; including a stepdaughter from a previous marriage, Jessica Rivers. Along with his parents, he was predeceased by a sister Bernadette Gonyea. A celebration of life will be held Friday December 9th from 11-1 at the American Legion 1418 in Fort Covington NY. A donation has been set up in his name at the Fort Covington Rescue Squad.
