Obituary of Todd Richards

Todd Richards, 55, formerly of Fort Covington, N.Y., passed away unexpectedly on March 15, 2023. Born in Malone, N.Y. on February 14, 1968, he was the son of Dwight and Donna Richards McCune. Todd graduated from Salmon River Central high school and then continued his education, obtaining his B.S. Degree at Potsdam State. He worked at Franklin County Department of Social Services for 17 years as a caseworker. He was predeceased by his father; Dwight McCune, and his wife Susan Goodrow. Survivors include his mother Donna-Richards McCune of Fort Covington, N.Y., a stepdaughter Amanda Gleason, sisters Beth Ann Capone, Eileen Hale and Shelly Thomas, two step grand children and several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. Todd loved hockey, gardening and at one time was an avid hunter. An hour of visitation will take place on Tuesday, March 21 from 6-7 p.m. at Cappiello-McKenzie & Cosgrove funeral Home in Fort Covington. Burial and graveside prayers will take place in the spring at Mound Hill Cemetery in Nicholville, N.Y.
