Raymond Bouissey, 86, of North Bangor, N.Y., passed away on May 15, 2023 at the UVM Health Network: Champlain Valley Physicians Hospital in Plattsburgh, N.Y. Born on May 1, 1937 in Malone, N.Y., he was the son of the late Edward and Eloise Boyea Bouissey. He was a 1956 Graduate of Franklin Academy in Malone. While in high school he worked three jobs, at Woolworth, Empsall’s and Shrine Theater. On May 11, 1957, he would marry his high school sweetheart, the former Janice Trushaw, having just celebrated their 66th anniversary. He worked on the St. Lawrence Seaway Project, and then went to work at Reynolds Metals in Massena, N.Y., where he was a maintenance mechanic and union officer for 37 ½ years. While at Reynold’s, he helped start the Twin Rivers Federal Credit Union. He loved hunting, fishing, traveling (especially to Las Vegas), card playing, family get togethers and going to the casino. Raymond was a member of the Westville Vol. Fire Dept., and a 3rd Degree Knights of Columbus. He will be greatly missed at family gatherings. He is survived by his sons; Raymond (Jennifer) Bouissey of Lingle, WY., Steven (Sherrie) Bouissey of San Angelo, TX. And Michael (Sally) Bouissey of Plymouth Meeting, PA., his daughters; Deborah (Joseph) Bombard of Burke, N.Y., Patricia Weber of St. Augustine, FL. and Sandra Proper of North Bangor, three brothers; Garry Bouissey of Gulf Port, MS., Darrel (Shirley) Bouissey of Malone, Lyle (Jackie) Bouissey of Chazy, N.Y., eleven grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was predeceased by a daughter Penelope Bouissey in 1971, a brother Lloyd Bouissey and a sister Linda Bouissey. An hour of visitation will be held from 9-10am Friday, May 19 at St. Francis of Assisi Church in Constable, N.Y., followed by a funeral Mass at 10am. Burial will be in St. Francis of Assisi Cemetery in Constable. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations in Raymond’s memory to the Westville Vol. Fire Dept.
