Obituary of Betty J. Gilbow Yaddow
~Betty J. Gilbow Yaddow, 55, of Constable, NY., passed away Monday evening, July 24, 2017, at the home of Madeline “Pat” Vryhof who had been caring for her along with Hospice of the North Country, Inc.
Born in Malone, NY., November 5, 1961, she was the daughter of the late Bernard and Marjorie Dibble Gilbow. She attended local schools.
She was married to William Tebo and he predeceased her. She later married James Yaddow, who predeceased her in 2016.
Betty worked in the kitchen at the Franklin County Sherriff’s Office for several years. She later was employed by Grand Union in Toms River, NJ., for two years. After her marriage to James Yaddow, they drove over the road tractor trailer trucks for five years. She retired in 2012, because of her health.
She loved the outdoors, enjoyed hunting and fishing, and home crafts. She will be missed by her faithful dog “Wallie”.
Survivors include one sister and brother in law, Sharon and Ronald Goyea of Brandon, NY., one step sister, Bernice Abasta of Utah, two step brothers, Richard Gilbow of New London, CT., and Duane Gilbo and his wife Betty of Pulaski, NY., and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with her parents and her two husbands, she was predeceased by one brother, Bernard Gilbow on March 20, 2017and two sisters, Debra Gilbow on July 13, 2004 and Bernetta Gilbow in 1955.
There are no calling hours or funeral service. Burial will be private and at the convenience of the family.
