Shirley Collom, of Malone, N.Y., passed away on October 30, 2023, at her home under the care of her loving husband and Hospice of the North Country. She was born on October 9, 1934, in Malone. On January 23,1980, she was wed to Terrance M. Collom. He survives. She worked at various nursing homes in Southern New York State as a nurse’s aide. She loved playing BINGO and baking. Along with her husband, she is survived by her siblings: Harold "Pug" Shova and Donald Shova. She was predeceased by her brothers Raymond Shova, Nelson Shova, Francis Shova, Bernard Shova, and sisters Irene Beach, Eleanor Dufrane, Alice Humiston, Mildred Walbridge, Viola Shova, Helen Russell, and Gladys Mayville. She was also predeceased by her parents Joseph and Eva Trombley Shova. An hour of visitation will take place at Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home on Monday, November 6 from 10 to 11 a.m., followed by a prayer service in the Funeral Home Chapel. The burial will be in Notre Dame Cemetery in Malone. Arrangements are under the care of the Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Service in Malone, N.Y.
