It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Donald Douglas Marshall on November 12th, 2023 while surrounded by his family.
Born to Sylvia and Allen Marshall on February 13th, 1939 in Brandon, NY, Donald was one of eight children. He served in the Army until his honorable discharge in 1961. Donald worked for more than 50 years as a Carpenter, where he not only worked but thrived, and while he thrived, he taught many others along the way. After retirement, he spent much of his spare time woodworking in his shop at home. Donald was an avid hunter and while he spent many days hunting, he also spent many hours talking about his hunting experiences. He also enjoyed spending time with his wife and family every chance he could.
Donald was united in marriage to Linda LaRock on June 29th, 1962, at the first Baptist Church in Malone, NY. Together they had five children, Dawn (Kent) Langlois, of Malone, NY, Tony (Laurie) Marshall, of Malone, NY, Melody (Scott) Thomas, of St. Regis Falls, Troy (Nancy) Marshall, of North Bangor, NY, and Wakisha (Phil) Trombley, of Ellenburg Center, NY. He also had several wonderful grandchildren and great-grandchildren, all of which he loved dearly.
The family is grateful for the Community outpouring of support but has decided on a private service, per Donald’s wishes.
Arrangements are under the care of Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Service in Malone, N.Y. Those wishing may leave online condolences on the funeral home Facebook page at Ross Family of Funeral Homes or the website: www.brusofuneralservice.com
