Cheryl M. Wilbanks, age 79, of Fort Covington, N.Y., passed away on December 28, 2023.

Born on October 26, 1944, she was the daughter of the late David and Cora LaTray Hill. She was wed to Wesley Wilbanks, whom she met in Tennessee, and where they resided for several years. He Survives.

Cheryl was Fort Covington Town Justice for seventeen years and a bus driver for Salmon River Central School for 27 years. She loved cooking, gardening, flowers, spending time with her grandkids, puzzles, and going out to eat. She also loved cardinals.

Along with her husband she is survived by her sons David Wilbanks and Logan (Marissa) Lamb, a daughter Sueann Wilbanks, and her grandchildren: Lily, Gwen, Gavin, Owen, David, Jr. and her special grandson Kaysen.

Along with her parents she was also predeceased by her sister.

Calling Hours will be held from 11am-12pm & 4pm-6pm on Friday, January 5, 2024 at Cappiello-McKenzie & Cosgrove Funeral Home in Fort Covington, N.Y. A graveside service will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, January 8 at new St. Mary’s Cemetery in Fort Covington.
