Candace T. Breen, 77, of Malone, N.Y., passed away on January 21, 2024 at UVM Medical Center in Burlington, VT.
On January 10, 1947, she was born to the late Gerald and Rita Smith Taylor in Malone. Candace was wed to Gary Breen on August 3, 1968 at St. Joseph’s Church in Malone. He survives.
She received her college degree from Champlain College in Vermont and was the Director of the Franklin County Community Housing Council in Malone.
Along with her husband, she is survived by her son Ryan (Stephanie) Breen of Peru, N.Y., her daughters: Shannon (David) Hesseltine of Burke, N.Y and Tara (Mario) Fiacco of Malone, two sisters: Barbara (Greg) Paye of Malone and Michele Denny of Malone, eleven grandchildren: Collin, Spencer & Garret Hesseltine, Taigh & Corbin Lucy, Taran & Taya Fiacco, and Cordell, Jacob, Declan & Ethan Breen, as well as six great grandchildren.
She loved spending time with her family and friends at Hopkins Point.
Calling Hours will be Thursday, February 1, 2024 from 4-6 p.m.at Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone. A Mass of Christian Burial will take place at noon on Friday, February 2 at Notre Dame Church in Malone.
