Obituary of Devin J. LeClair

Devin J. LeClair, 37, of Churubusco, N.Y., passed away on July 19, 2024, at Albany Medical Center with his family by his side after a brief battle with cancer. Born on February 14, 1987, in Plattsburgh, N.Y., he was the son of Toby J. and Cindy Lee Fleury LeClair. Devin graduated from Northern Adirondack Central School, class of 2005, where he was a standout wrestler in Section VII and was a member of the 100 Win Club. He would go onto serve in the U.S. Army from 2005-2010, having two tours in Iraq. He finished his tour as an SP4 Infantryman. He was employed in the family construction business, LeClair Enterprises, and was a member of Post 219 American Legion in Malone. He loved spending time with his family and kids. He is survived by his parents, former wife: Sonia LeClair, his sons: Jace William LeClair and Landon Bushey, his daughters: Kendall Grace LeClair, Kelsie Connor and Kaitlyn Connor, a brother: Cody Allen William LeClair, a grandchild: Leeland Burdo, grandmother and grandfather William & Janice LeClair, aunt & uncle: Bob & Gaye Fleury and cousins: Taylor Pecore and Spencer Fleury. He was predeceased by his grandparents Allen & Myra Fleury and Carol LeClair. Calling Hours will take place on Thursday, July 25 from 4-7p.m. at Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Home in Malone. A gathering will be held following the calling hours at the Malone American Legion. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Homeward Bound Veterans Retreat in Malone. Bruso-Desnoyers Funeral Service in Malone is handling arrangements for the family.
