Dolories A. Dustin, 87, of Fort Covington, NY, passed away Wednesday, January 8, 2025, at the Alice Hyde Medical Center in Malone with her family by her side.
Born in Fort Covington, November 8, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Levi and Mildred (Tuper) Dupra.
On June 30, 1962, she was united in marriage to her husband, Donald Dustin, who predeceased her on March 7, 2017, at St. Mary’s Church in Fort Covington.
Dolories was employed by Tru-Stitch Footwear in Bombay for many years.
In her younger years, she was very involved with her husband’s sports as well as traveling around together. She enjoyed family holidays and playing cards and dice. Dolories enjoyed her family day with her brother, where they would spend the day going to appointments, shopping and getting coffee. She was a crafter, she enjoyed ceramics, painting and anything to do with art. She loved wildlife watching, especially birds. She also enjoyed long rides to see the countryside. Dolories loved her new home on Burns-Holden Road. She enjoyed watching Mackenzie, Alex, Joseph and Wyatt grow up. Dolories had a special caretaker, Valery Hance, who meant a lot to her.
Dolories was predeceased by her parents; her husband, Donald; a brother, Gary and his wife Grace Dupra; a sister, Beverly Leduc; three nephews, Marty Dupra, Ian McNamara, John Meaux; and a niece, April Hoag.
Dolories is survived by a brother, Loren and Catherine Dupra of Fort Covington; a brother-in-law, Larry Leduc of Fort Covington; as well as nieces and nephews, Matt Dupra and his wife April of Fort Covington, Cal McNamara and Christy of Bombay, Jamie and Shilo Leduc of Bombay, LaLonie Meaux of Alabama, Gerald Dupra and his wife Tennille of Malone, Ricky Dupra and his companion Christine of Constable and Brandy Brown of Brushton.
Calling hours will be Friday, January 17, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. with the funeral service following at 1:00 p.m. at the Cappiello-McKenzie and Cosgrove Funeral Home in Fort Covington.
