So very sorry to hear of Betty’s passing. My memory of Betty was a trip to Scandinavian countries with Bombardier. The husbands snowmobiled in Lapland and we toured Stockholm. She was my roommate. In the late 60’s. A lovely person.

From Ontario, sending our heart felt condolences and hugs to you Jim and all the family.
Betty along with Jim by her side, attended so many of our family celebrations, not wanting to pass a chance to share time, memories and good wishes among family. We have been so blessed to have had Betty and Jim in our lives and to have had the opportunity to stay in touch with distance family. What a wonderful lady!
May this quote from a Church of England cleric bring you some comfort...
With Love, Tanya, Todd, Jacob and Jordan Doxtator
Death is nothing at all. I have slipped away into the next room. I am I, and you are you. Whatever we were to each other, that we are still. Call me by my old familiar name, speak to me in the easy way which you always used. Put no difference in your tone, wear no forced air of solemnity or sorrow. Laugh as we always laughed, at the little jokes we enjoyed together. Pray, smile, think of me, pray for me. Let my name be the household word that it always was. Let it be spoken without effect, without trace of shadow on it. Life means all that it ever meant, it is the same as it ever was, there is an unbroken continuity. What is death but a negligible accident? Why should I be out of mind because I am out of sight? I am waiting for you for an interval, somewhere very near, just around the corner.
ALL IS WELL.
—Canon Henry Scott Holland (1847–1918)

Dear Coughlin Family,
We are so sorry for the loss of Mrs. Betty. She has quite an impressive, if not nowadays unheard of, history! Her legacy and her many wonderful character traits will live on forever, we know, for we have met and spent time with so many of you, her family members, your spouses, partners and offspring of Mrs. Betty, even though we live in Atlanta. Pretty sure yours is The largest family we know and each one of you are extraordinary in your own way! It would seem she has made her mark and a difference in many places and for many faces in our world. We know she will be greatly missed.
We are thinking of you and praying for you.
Our love and friendship,
Mary & Brady

To the entire Coughlin family,
Mrs. Coughin was a wonderful woman and an inspiration to me as a mother. As a child growing up (I'm the same age as Tim), I spent a lot of time at the Coughlin house and she always made me and all the neighbourhood kids feel welcome. She always had a smile on her face, which even at my young age, impressed me considering she had 11 boys, she just went with the flow with a laugh. I picture her know chuckling as she shakes her head at one of the crazy things one of the boys did or said. She was a great mother even to a neighbour kid.She will always be remembered fondly with love.My sympathy to you all.
Love, "Suzie Timmins"

My grandmother was an inspiring and amazing woman. I may never understand where she found the strength to raise such a large and wonderful family. The love that she and my grandfather shared will always be a beautiful example of the incredible power and resilience you can only find in soul mates. I will never forget the winters and summers I spent with her in Malone. Wether it was grandma expressing her subtle disinterest in having her picture taken, sneaking away to watch and root for notre dame with unyielding faith, sternly reminding me to come inside when it was 10 below, or pretending that she didn't know when I was sneaking away with some of her molasses crinkles. She had a commanding presence that often needed little to say to be felt. I think maybe in the end her love for her family and the family itself will be a greater testament to her spirit than words could ever express. We were all lucky to have known her and have her as part of our lives. And for all those who did we send our deepest condolences and share in your grief. But as I write this I am reminded she is in a better place happily catching up with those who left before her. I love you grandma.
