Obituary of Frances M. Raville

Frances Mader Raville, 91, of Tupper Lake, NY., passed away Friday night, May 29, 2020, at the Adirondack Medical Center, in Saranac Lake, NY., with her loving family by her bedside. She had been a resident at the Mercy Helath Care Facility in Tupper Lake, NY., and Will Rogers Institute in Saranac Lake, NY., and formerly of Chasm Falls, NY.
Born in Saranac Lake, NY., April 20,1929, she was the daughter of the late Frederick J. and Margaret Florio Mader. She graduated from Saranac Lake High School on June 24, 1947.
Frances was employed by New York Telephone Company for several years. She was a communicant of St. Helen’s Church, in Chasm Falls, NY. and a member of the Altar Rosary Society. She also sang in the choir. She enjoyed walking, reading and baking. Her most precious moments were spent being a mother and grandmother.
On October 9, 1954, she was united in marriage to Gordon C. Raville at St. Bernard’s Church, in Saranac Lake, NY. He predeceased her on January 15, 1990.
Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law, Mark G. and Anne Raville of South Bangor, NY., one daughter and son-in-law, Linda and Kenneth Pickreign of Tupper Lake, NY., one sister, Theresa Santor of Wilsboro, NY., nine grandchildren, nine great grandchildren and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Along with her parents and her husband, she was predeceased by two brothers and sisters-in-law, Deacon Frederick and Elizabeth Mader and William and Trudy Mader and one brother-in-law, Richard Santor.
A Graveside Service and burial will be held Thursday June 4, 2020, at 1 p.m., at St. Helen’s Cemetery, in Chasm Falls, NY.
