Rest In Peace Dianne. We graduated the same year, played music in the Malone Central School bands and attended the United Methodist Church. Fun memories... Now your next adventure begins! Forever in our hearts and memories. ~ Stuart Rowley

Your words are lovely Stuart. Dianne was a dear person. I too graduated the same year and we traveled to Plattsburgh as roommates for our first year of college. Many fond memories of our years from Harrison to FA then on to College. My sympathy to all who had the honor of knowing Dianne. - Lorraine Vail Walker

Dear Lisa and Lindsey:
Donald and I extend our deepest sympathy to both of you and your families and also your dad and Donny. Your mom was an amazing lady who handled her illness with dignity and humor. She and your dad have shared your growing up years, your careers and families with us.
We are leaving for Florida early tomorrow so may not see you before. Please know you and your mom continue in our thoughts and prayers.
Both of you and your families have been exemplary in the care and attention you have given your mom over the past few years. Both of you did everything you could to make your mom's journey through this terrible disease a little easier.
Love to both of you and your families
Donald and Gayle

I am profoundly sorry for your loss. Dianne was a sweet, professional and fun loving woman. I worked with her in the Probation Dept. for several years, the last being Supervisor and she being appointed Family Court Supervisor shortly before I transitioned to NYS Parole. I have thought about how and what she was up to in retirement. Bless her.

Some of my fondest memories are of those warm summer nights in Malone, in middle and high school, when I’d ride my bike or walk from my house over to the Hardy residence. I’d take Prospect Street to Whittlesey then swing down around the corner past the tree line where all the bullfrogs were croaking in the pond below. When I got to the house there was no need to knock. I always felt comfortable walking right inside, where Dianne — who, for me, will always be “Mrs. Hardy” — would give me a happy hello and a big smile, as if to say I was always welcome in her home. And that’s truly how I felt, all those years, when her daughter Lindsey would round up our crew and have us all over to play boardgames. For those who know me, you know I’m not a very quiet person, especially when I get laughing, and any time I’d hang out with Lindsey we seemed to always manage to crack each other up. Whenever this happened Mrs. Hardy would, of course, have to hear our laughter late into the night from her bedroom upstairs while we crowded around the dining room table having fun — and she never once complained. I cherish those memories. To think of walking into that house now without Mrs. Hardy’s beaming smile to greet me breaks my heart. I’ll miss her dearly. She always went out of her way to make me feel welcome and loved. I feel lucky that the gift of her unending kindness will always be with me.
